Please cross all the "T's" and dot all the "I's" on Luong's indictment. Let there be no appeals for this defendant. This family has been through enough. When I heard the news report that his lawyer was asking for a translator for him I was livid. I didn't want one penny of our tax dollars going for his monster. But if he didn't get a translator that may have been grounds for an appeal. NO APPEALS! This needs to come to an end for this family.
All Capital Murder cases get an automatic appeal. I don't mind paying for this man to be in prison although there are people in jail right now that we are paying for who drove a car without a license, insurance or wear a seat-belt. John let the b______ know that he is not famous. That he is the lowest scum of the earth.. And let him know that people up north aren't seeing this on there news so he did it for nothing. He will never be famous just a low life..
Bobcat I understand that there are automatic appeals for Death penalty cases I just don't understand the grounds for such. I really just want the the District Attorney to make sure there are no loop holes,type'os etc.
IGJOMS........I could'nt agree with you more. And as you may know, he has an attorney who is going to try to do his "job" the best way he can. I'm sure his defense will include many attempts at things that the general public will find offensive. i.e. insanity plea, communication barriers, ask for a change of venue due to the high profile of this case etc. (common claims) But again, he is only doing his job. I am with you on this subject ..... And I think people should be careful of what they say on PUBLIC message boards.

When someone admits their crime, seems like there shouldn't even be a trial. Just get an appointment time set up for his execution. Let him know "he is not famous" and he is not fit to be in our society. He shouldn't be able to eat, or sleep. He really shouldn't be able to call the family of the Lil' children. I think his photo shouldn't be published anymore either, since he wants to be famous. He is an evil man, and should not have any privileges.
Bobcat, I know he has a good lawyer who may very well try one if now all the area's you said. But in John Tyson I see a man on a mission. The emotion on his face and in his eyes at the first news conference, I doubt there is any one in the country with his momentum. Justice will be served. It may be cold to some, but it will be served.
All you ever here is we, the people. If the people would just speak up, if the people would go out and vote, if the people join together as one, well we are speaking and nobodys listening. just turn him loose, give him to us, we the people are speaking out loud, just give him to us and we will handle this one for you. Let us show him how to be FAMOUS. I don't know if I miss it on the news or if it was never said how he threw these babies from the bridge. But I am not sleeping at night, I lay in my bed seeeing this guy throw one at a time. OH GOD help this mother and her family, I know how I'm dealing with this and I can't imagine how the mother feels. I can only pray for her over and over again.
Is a conviction and the maximum the best we can do? The protection and services that a jail gives him is too good. Turn him loose in the middle of Bayou La Batre and let society take care of him. Then calculate how much money a trial would have cost and give this to the mother for mental health care and any care that she needs. Maybe he can have a mistrial......Let the healing begin.
